It’s been five years but Moana still remains wavy as ever. As of 2021, Moana was the second most streamed movie globally. A cultural phenomenon, the movie tells the story of the classic Disney type girl growing up feeling she’s destined for more than her dull life and eventually discovering she is the chosen one to go on a mission to save the earth.
The movie was well received by fans and critics. It even bagged an Oscar nomination. Although Moana didn’t win the award, it still found a place in the hearts of many. For some, Moana had a great message and it orders a woman of color as a Disney female lead.
It is well known to Disney fans that in almost every Disney movie, there are some sort of hidden easter eggs to find from classic Disney animations and Moana is filled with these treasures! Finding the little detail can be both intriguing and strenuous. Some of them are difficult to find unless you really put in the work.
In the past some Easter eggs have been controversial, but that isn’t the case in Moana, although it is filled with Easter eggs. Here are a number of them, some of them can be very subtle and others glaring.
