After other Western leaders announced a series of sanctions against those supporting President Putin, Boris Johnson made the most feeble attempt imaginable. Far from offering global leadership, he sanctioned just three people, none of whom are even based in the UK. Even his own MPs were appalled and have called for much more to be done. But Johnson is unlikely to comply without being forced.
