CDL Class A Form B Inspection Procedures

A full demonstration of the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with Air Brakes Pre-Trip inspection – Form B.

Before an applicant begins the CDL Pre-Trip inspection, the applicant will be assigned to perform either Form A, B, C, or Full Form. The applicant will not know in advance which form they will be assigned to complete. All applicants, no matter what form they draw will also complete the Fifth Wheel Coupling, Cab Compartment, and the full external Lights check.

Form B covers the driver’s door and fuel area to the rear of the tractor which includes the fuel tanks, exhaust system, drive shaft, the rear axle, and more.
