President Cyril Ramaphosa’s decision to appoint deputy chief justice Raymond Zondo as Chief Justice, has drawn some support and criticism.
The President also says he will nominate Supreme Court of Appeal president, Mandisa Maya, as deputy chief justice.
Some have said the president missed an opportunity to appoint a woman to the position.
