PRESS NOTIFICATION REGARDING CREATION OF SHAMATOR DISTRICT

In a Press Notification Nagaland Government informed that the Governor of Nagaland is pleased to create Shamator district with headquarters at Shamator. It also further informed that the new district will comprise the existing administrative area of Shamator Sub-Division along with Chessore Sub-Division including Mangko EAC circle. Sotokur EAC circle under Tuensang district also to be included in the new district while Chingmelen, Heilipong and Sipongsang villages to be excluded. Six villages under Kiphire district which stand transferred to Tsurungto EAC circle will also be included
