Russia invades Ukraine: Local Army Ranger says Ukraine benefiting from U.S. training

For months U.S. Special Operations Forces have been preparing Ukraine to beat back a Russian attack. A former Army Ranger from Joint Base Lewis McChord said there are signs that training is having an impact.

Denouncing the Russian invasion of Ukraine and calling for more severe sanctions, a rally at the University of Washington Thursday drew hundreds of people pushing for the U.S. to provide financial and humanitarian aid.

Some strong words from members of Washington state’s Congressional delegation on Thursday over Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Many members of the delegation called on the U.S. and its NATO allies to take swift action to send a strong message to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
