In this video, we add a sort icon to the column headers of a table to make it easy to recognise the column the table is sorted by.
This video follows two videos where I demonstrated how to sort by a drop-down list in Excel.
Sort by drop-down (all versions) - https://youtu.be/p9LjxjwNBzk
Sort by drop-down (Excel 365 & Online) - https://youtu.be/Hj_mkYdin7k
Download the workbook used in the tutorial.

When sorting an Excel table by a drop-down value, it is not immediately clear which column the table is sorted by. Especially, if the drop-down is a few rows away from the table.
In Power BI, a neat arrow icon is shown to indicate the column sorted by. In this video, we create the same symbol using Excel formulas.
Here are the timings of the video.
00:00 - Introduction to the task
01:11 - Sort icons in Power BI
01:53 - Excel formula to show sort icon
08:41 - Sort icon underneath the header text
