Dysart) attempts to defibrillate Norris (Charles Hallahan), his chest transforms into a large mouth and bites off Copper’s arms, killing him. MacReady (Kurt Russell from Tango & Cash, The Hateful Eight and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) incinerates the Norris-Thing, but its head detaches and attempts to escape before also being burnt. MacReady is forced to kill Clark (Richard Masur) in self-defense when the latter lunges at him from behind with a knife. In remote Antarctica, a group of American research scientists are disturbed at their base camp by a helicopter shooting at a sled dog. When they take in the dog, it brutally attacks both human beings and canines in the camp and they discover that the beast can assume the shape of its victims. A resourceful helicopter pilot (Kurt Russell from Furious 7 and Death Proof) and the camp doctor (Richard Dysart from Pale Rider) lead the camp crew in a desperate, gory battle against the vicious creature before it picks them all off, one by one.
